Partners for Clean Streams (PCS), a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was formed in 2007 when the Maumee RAP Committee recognized a need for efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
PCS’s primary focus is fostering stewardship of freshwater rivers, streams, and Lake Erie. They collaborate with various partners, including government agencies, businesses, city leaders, and the general public, to ensure the maintenance of clear, clean, and safe waterways.
Another way they express their goal is by advocating for fishable, swimmable, and drinkable waters.
While they are widely recognized for mobilizing people to participate in stream cleanups, addressing issues like fishing line removal and recycling, and educating about the importance of not polluting storm drains (the direct pipe from urban neighborhoods to streams), their work also involves less visible but crucial planning and facilitating collaborations among partners.
During the month of March 2024, $5 from every sale of the limited-edition t-shirt was donated to Partners for Clean Streams.
The funds raised went towards their continued efforts to provide fishable, swimmable, and drinkable waters for our community,
