In 2010, CommunityCare Clinics (CCC) began providing comprehensive healthcare services at no cost to the underinsured population of Toledo. These healthcare options include physical therapy, vision screenings, HIV testing, chronic disease education, pharmacy services, and Women’s Health and Reproductive Health clinics. Today, CCC stands as one of the largest free clinics in the state based on the number of patients served.
At each clinic, a range of general medical care is provided by both student and licensed healthcare providers, along with commonly prescribed medications to support patients in maintaining their health. Medications and treatments administered on-site are consistently free, and the organization collaborates with individuals to ensure transparency regarding healthcare costs, striving to provide the best possible healthcare without unexpected expenses.
Still to this day, the primary mission of CommunityCare Clinics is to provide high-quality healthcare to the underserved and to enhance healthcare awareness within the Toledo community.
Their clinics serve as platforms for volunteers to contribute to positive change in the Greater Toledo area, address societal issues, and apply interdisciplinary principles of public health. CommunityCare Clinics continuously strived to enhance its impact on the Toledo community.
During the month of January, $5 from every sale of the limited-edition t-shirt was donated to CommunityCare Clinics.
The funds raised went towards their continued efforts to provide free healthcare services.
